JC Helpers Needed to Cover Readers
The Junior College has recently purchased some new decodable readers for our Lower Primary classes. We are putting a call out to anyone who would love to lend a hand with contacting these readers. Please contact our HSC Reception or WSC Reception if you are at a loose end and would love to help out.
Using and Updating Parent Lounge
Updating Student Medical Details
As a priority, please check your Parent Lounge and ensure that all records are accurate and up to date. Please add any food intolerances under Medical Conditions, selecting one of the many options in the drop-down box relating to ‘Allergic’ or ‘Diet’. If the food intolerance you need to enter isn’t listed, please select ‘Diet – Other’ and include the specifics in the ‘Details’ section.
Using and Updating Parent Lounge
We are always investigating ways to utilise Parent Lounge for effective communication between parents and the College. We have uploaded some short tutorial videos that have been created by TASS (Parent Lounge developer) to assist parents with becoming familiar with Parent Lounge. These videos can be found under School Links > Tutorial Videos – Parents.
The following tutorial videos are currently available:
- Booking Parent Teacher Interviews
- Parent Directory
- Paying for Tours and Excursions
- Updating Address Information
- Updating Student Medical Details
Updating Media Consent, Intercampus Travel & ICT Policy
It is important that the College maintains accurate records of parents’ consent regarding media, intercampus travel and ICT (information communication technology). Existing families are reminded that consent from previous years carries over each year until graduation. If you would like to update your records, please complete this form.
Student Absences - Notifying the College
Advising the College
Please advise the College via Parent Lounge if a student is going to be absent for one or more days. This should be done prior to 8.30am on the day of the absence. If your student is absent, but you have not notified the College via Parent Lounge, you will receive an SMS notification during the morning. In this case, you need to acknowledge the absence via Parent Lounge as soon as possible.
Cancelling Bus Transport
If Inter-Campus Bus travel has been booked for your child and you wish for your child to not catch the bus for any reason, you must cancel the travel in the RollCall App. An updated Bus List is printed from RollCall every afternoon to ensure that the correct students catch the bus. If you have not updated Roll Call with an intended absence, it is likely that we will place your child on the bus as per the current RollCall travel bookings.
Cancelling Tuckshop
Please remember that if your child is away on a Tuckshop day, you will need to contact your Campus Reception by 9.00am to request a cancellation of the Tuckshop order and receive a refund.

Severe Egg and Nut Allergies in our Community
Dear Parents
We'd like to remind you of the allergies of some of our students and how we can work together to support them. We do have students with severe allergies to nuts and to egg.
It is vital for us to create an environment where everyone feels included and protected. We would like to kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to accommodate these student’s needs and ensure their safety.
Here are a couple of ways you are able to assist us.
- Please avoid bringing nut items, boiled eggs and egg sandwiches to school.
- If you do include these items in your students' lunch on any given day, please email your classroom teacher so that we can take appropriate action to keep our little person safe.
- If your child has eggs before school, can you please ensure that they wash their hands well before entering school grounds.
- As a school community, this is an opportunity to foster an atmosphere of empathy and support and teach our children about the importance of inclusivity and understanding. This will not only benefit the students with allergies but will also create a more compassionate environment for everyone.
- In the event of an allergic reaction, our staff members are trained to respond promptly and effectively. We have protocols in place to handle such situations and your child’s safety remains our top priority.
By working together as a community, we can create a safe and welcoming environment for all our students, including those with special dietary needs. Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

HSC Drive Through and Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures
Thank you for your patience in the Drive Through in the mornings and afternoons. I know it can be an extremely busy time. Please see below some important information relating to our Drive Through and Drop Off/Pick Up processess
1. Our Driveway has two lanes. The righthand lane is for the Reception Carpark and the Drive Through. The lefthand lane is for the Kindy as well as carparks east of the Drive Through.
2. For safety, please do not turn from the lefthand lane across the driveway traffic into the Reception carpark. We have had too many near misses.
3. Morning drop off - please do not leave your car parked in the Drive Through. If you would like to enter the gates with your child, please park in other parks and walk in. Another name for our Drive Through in the morning is the kiss and drop.
4. Our afternoon bell goes at 3.05pm for a 3.10pm finish. If you are able to come at approximately 3.15pm - 3.20pm, you will find that it is much easier.
If you have any further questions about our Drive Through procedure, please don’t hesitate to contact Reception.
HSC Change in Guest Toilet Facilities After 3.10pm
Going forward, the toilets near Prep will be closed from 3.10pm on school days. That area is officially licensed to Outside School Hours Care and will therefore not be accessible. During this time, the toilets near Reception will remain fully operational.
