Using and Updating Parent Lounge
Updating Student Medical Details
As a priority, please check your Parent Lounge and ensure that all records are accurate and up to date. Please add any food intolerances under Medical Conditions, selecting one of the many options in the drop-down box relating to ‘Allergic’ or ‘Diet’. If the food intolerance you need to enter isn’t listed, please select ‘Diet – Other’ and include the specifics in the ‘Details’ section.
Using and Updating Parent Lounge
We are always investigating ways to utilise Parent Lounge for effective communication between parents and the College. We have uploaded some short tutorial videos that have been created by TASS (Parent Lounge developer) to assist parents with becoming familiar with Parent Lounge. These videos can be found under School Links > Tutorial Videos – Parents.
The following tutorial videos are currently available:
- Booking Parent Teacher Interviews
- Parent Directory
- Paying for Tours and Excursions
- Updating Address Information
- Updating Student Medical Details
Updating Media Consent, Intercampus Travel & ICT Policy
It is important that the College maintains accurate records of parents’ consent regarding media, intercampus travel and ICT (information communication technology). Existing families are reminded that consent from previous years carries over each year until graduation. If you would like to update your records, please complete the updated form.
Student Absences - Notifying the College
Advising the College
Please advise the College via Parent Lounge if a student is going to be absent for one or more days. This should be done prior to 8.30am on the day of the absence. If your student is absent, but you have not notified the College via Parent Lounge, you will receive an SMS notification during the morning. In this case, you need to acknowledge the absence via Parent Lounge as soon as possible.
Cancelling Bus Transport
If Inter-Campus Bus travel has been booked for your child and you wish for your child to not catch the bus for any reason, you must cancel the travel in the RollCall App. An updated Bus List is printed from RollCall every afternoon to ensure that the correct students catch the bus. If you have not updated Roll Call with an intended absence, it is likely that we will place your child on the bus as per the current RollCall travel bookings.
Cancelling Tuckshop
Please remember that if your child is away on a Tuckshop day, you will need to contact your Campus Reception by 9.00am to request a cancellation of the Tuckshop order and receive a refund.
JC Twilight Showcase - Wednesday 11 September
This year we are inviting you to join us on Wednesday 11 September 5.30pm-6.30pm to explore classrooms and see the learning that has occurred over the last term/semester.
You are welcome to stay for as long as you like and visit just a few or all of the classrooms. This is an exciting night for your children as they get to share with you their educational journey.
We look forward to seeing you there.
JC Oktoberfest Raffle Hampers
The Stephen Street Campus Parent Connect is excitedly preparing for the upcoming Oktoberfest event scheduled for Saturday 19 October, from 4pm to 8pm. This event aims to not only raise funds for the college but to also provide an opportunity for the college community to come together again.
The SSC Parent Connect group have asked the Junior Campus Parent Connect groups to assist with a special aspect of Oktoberfest. We are organising a raffle, with each Year Level putting together a hamper with a particular theme. As part of this initiative, we warmly invite each JC student to consider donating a small item for their Year Level hamper that will be raffled on the day. We wish to emphasise that this act of generosity is entirely optional, and we truly appreciate any level of support you are able to provide. If you do decide to donate, feel free to provide single items, or band together with some parent friends to provide larger items if you wish.
Please see below for hamper themes and possible ideas:
- Prep – Art and Craft Hamper – art supplies, colouring books, pencils, texters, pipe cleaners, paints
- Year 1 – Baking Enthusiasts – baking ingredients, mixes, cookie cutters, sprinkles, recipe book, tins
- Year 2 – Pet Lovers – treats, toys, grooming products
- Year 3 – Birthday Party Pack – party decorations, items to go in goody bags, cake mix, candles

- Year 6 – BBQ Picnic Pack – picnic rug, voucher for butcher, citronella candle, reusable utensils, bbq sauces
We ask that donations are given to your child’s class teacher by Friday 13 September.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We're looking forward to sharing an unforgettable Oktoberfest experience with you.

WSC Prep to Year 2 Swimming Lessons
Our students from Prep to Year 2 will commence their swimming lessons at the Concordia Aquatic Centre (CAQ) this term. They will participate in five lessons, across Week 9 and Week 10.
Please ensure that students have the following items:
- Warm clothing - this would be great for the students to wear to and from the pool as we don't know what the weather is going to be like
- Swimming togs
- Goggles
- House Swimming Cap (Compulsory) - available for purchase from the College Uniform Shop
- Towel
To avoid any lost items, please clearly label all of your child's items including their shoes, underwear and uniform.
WSC New Bus Zone
We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding Warwick Street Campus. Toowoomba Regional Council has established a new Bus Zone out the front of our campus on Warwick Street. This new zone will improve the safety and efficiency of our student drop off and pick up procedures.
Effective Monday 9 September, please note the following:
- The new Bus Zone on Warwick Street will be in operation during the times of 7.00-9.00am and 2.00-4.00pm.
- During these hours, cars will not be permitted to park in this zone to ensure that our Concordia bus can efficiently perform its morning and afternoon drop off and pick up services.
We appreciate your cooperation and support with this new arrangement which is designed to enhance the safety and convenience for all families and students.

U15's Club Basketball Team
Intermediates AAG Cup Basketball
On Tuesday our Intermediate boys' and girls' basketball teams played in the annual AAG Cup. Both teams had fantastic days going undefeated until the Semi-finals, and ultimately finishing 3rd for the day. Well done to all players.
Premier League Volleyball Season 3
After another great season, our volleyball teams played their final fixtures on Tuesday night. Our intermediate girls' teams were both playing for the Gold medal, our Senior boys playing for the Bronze, and our junior and senior girls were in lower-ranked finals.
All three medal matches proved thrillers but unfortunately, all our teams finished on the wrong side of the result. It was still a tremendous effort considering this was our Y9 girls' second season and our Y10 girls' fourth straight Grand Final.
It was also great to see so many supporters cheering our teams on at the games. Well done to all players for a fantastic season, we are so proud of all your efforts. Congratulations to Evie Yeatman and Yuan Cabahug who were named MVP of their divisions.
